I want to be the thinnest, most toned girl. I want to have the most coltish legs, the best cheekbones, the slightest neck, the tiniest wrists, ankles and waist. I want people to look at be a think 'she must be a model'. I want to look gorgeous, stand out from the crowd, dress distinctively.
Consider the face a three dimensional structure. A clay sculpture. It can be painted and contoured, but if the original bones of the face, the physical shape, is not beautiful, then the sculpture is without its most fundamental asset. We were each borne with unique skulls. To allow us to see this structure shows the individual beauty of that face. If the naked shape of the face is indiscernible, the face can never be truly seen. The model 'cheekbone' is so popularised because it appears wide-eyed, naive and naked. It shows the strength and structure of a woman (or man's) face.
